Welcome to Wanganui's central city business organisation; Mainstreet Wanganui.
By moving into the CBD you have automatically become a member of the Mainstreet Wanganui organisation. Mainstreet Wanganui began operating in 1991 after a Council recommendation was made that a Mainstreet type of organisation be initialised. Millions of dollars have since been spent on revitalising and renovating the Central City Centre making it an area to be proud of.
Mainstreet Wanganui Inc, the most successful Mainstreet programme in New Zealand, is run by Committees - The Executive Committee, Business Promotions Committee and Design Heritage Committee.
